According to a new survey by ManpowerGroup’s own Right Management, an unprecedented 86 percent of U.S. employees say they intend to look for a new job in 2013. Only 5 percent say they intend to stay in their current position.
Yikes.
What’s driving all this discontent? Right Management CEO Owen Sullivan offers some interesting explanations:
An additional problem could be that — according to another Right Management survey – only 12 percent of companies have a fully implemented talent management strategy in place. Check out this infographic for more.
Sullivan advises employers to be proactive when it comes to retaining top performers. They may be the first to get competitive job offers as the economy strengthens.
“Don’t wait,” he says. “Have open and transparent conversations about the realities of the business to allay any fears any uncertainties.”
