A little o’ this, and a little o’ that from the exhibit floor at the spring ERE conference in San Diego.

  • SimplyHired will launch a couple of new products. One’s an ad retargeting system, where if you search for a job in, say, nursing on SimplyHired, and then go to a totally unrelated site, a hospital could display an ad for you on that unrelated site. Another is a display ad product on SimplyHired. Say I search for a truck-driving job … a company that has driving jobs open (but perhaps one that I wouldn’t have thought of as having such jobs open, because it’s not a transportation company) could buy display ad space on my search results.
  • Speaking of SimplyHired … I mentioned it before, but it’s now public with its eHarmony partnership.
  • Avature, known as a talent community/CRM company, is maneuvering into an applicant tracking system company, competing with major ATS players for new business.
  • What’s making some vendors happy? Jobs2Careers because there’s sharply more activity on its site following its recent redesign; iCIMS because it signed up the New York Post; Jobvite because it signed Dealertrack Technologies; Jibe because it landed work for eBay, Bank of New York, and Life Time Fitness, building a wide swath of the candidate experience on those career sites.
