On Thursday, October 13 sometime after 8pm, we’re going to party into the night like the sourcing nerds we are at Yahoo’s URLs Cafe!
The SourceCon After Dark is back and in full effect. Once an ‘unofficial’ part of the conference, it’s now become something that attendees look forward to just as much as the rest of the conference.
So just what is “SourceCon After Dark?” Well, it’s sort of a mix between a late night ‘hackathon’ and a social gathering. Our hosts at Yahoo have provided us with space where conference attendees can participate in a number of activities or just hang out and get to know one another.
What we’ve got planned is still being worked out, but there will be fun activities for people at all levels in their sourcing career at the After Dark. We will have table top discussions with a wide variety of topics, including how to create slashtags with blekko (which will be led by Greg Lindahl) — and we have some surprises in store for some other discussions. For those who want to do a little ‘creative’ sourcing, there will also be a mini-sourcing contest or two in which to participate. And lastly, the SourceCon Challenge winners will hunker down from 8:30-9:00pm to compete in the Grand Master Sourcing Challenge to see who will come out on top.
