Your Recruiting Job Got Harder

As far as recruiters are concerned, however, there’s evidence that the act of filling a job has gotten a bit harder over the past year.

That evidence comes from ERE’s State of Recruiting survey; we’re taking a look at the results of that survey in a series of posts on this site.

We asked respondents, “In your opinion, are open jobs easier or harder to fill now vs. last year?”

The percent of people who said “somewhat harder” (about 35 percent) is more than double the percent of people who said somewhat easier (about 13 percent).

That’s a look back. Next week, I’ll take a look forward at what you expect next year.
