SHRM Elects Three to Board

Three new faces will join the Society for Human Resource Management’s board of directors in January, the organization announced today.

Joining the 13-member SHRM board beginning Jan. 1, 2016 are:

    Steve Browne, executive director of human resources at LaRosa’s, Cincinnati.

  • Sherri Enright, principal, HHS Consulting, Sanibel, Florida.
  • Donna Morris, senior vice president, global people and places, Adobe Systems, San Jose, California.

Browne, who has served on SHRM’s Membership Advisory Council, and Morris will serve two-year terms. Enright will serve a one-year term.

In addition, two HR executives were re-elected to the board. Jose Tomas, executive vice president and chief human resources officer at Anthem Inc., Indianapolis, was re-elected to a two-year term. David Windley, president, IQTalent Partners, Los Altos, California, was re-elected to a three-year term.

Coretha M. Rushing, senior vice president and chief human resources officer, Equifax, Atlanta, was elected chair designate. She will become board chair in 2017.

Board chair for 2016 is Brian D. Silva, chief human resources officer and senior vice president, administration, Fresenius Medical Care North America.

John Zappe

John Zappe is contributing editor of ERE.net, and the former editor of the now closed Fordyce Letter. John was a newspaper reporter and editor until his geek gene lead him to launch his first website in 1994. He developed and managed online newspaper employment sites and sold advertising services to recruiters and employers. 

Besides writing for ERE, John consults with staffing firms and employment agencies, providing content and managing their social media programs. He also works with organizations and businesses to assist with audience development and marketing. In his spare time  he can be found hiking in the California mountains or competing in canine agility and obedience competitions.
