When I entered recruiting, one of the first things I learned about was timing. I had to make my calls first thing in the morning, send my emails in the afternoon, and to post my jobs late on Friday afternoon. At first, I accepted this advice without question. But over time, I began to wonder if there was any data to back up these assertions. As it turns out, I was right, kind of. As it relates to emails anyway, “though this be madness, yet there’s method in’t.” Hamlet (2.2) As a recent article published by Yesware shows, the best time to send an email is actually over the weekend.
If you don’t feel like being a weekend warrior, the next best times to send emails are the early morning. 6AM is considered primetime and 8PM is the time slot equivalent of an infomercial.
