We suggest you consider whether the computer you are using and your location is secure enough. It would be safer to fill in the form using means that are not directly connected to you.

Screen Shot 2014-09-23 at 3.24.04 PMThat’s the unusual warning on a new careers site, aimed at reassuring applicants about their safety and confidentiality when applying for jobs. In other words, the organization’s worried applicants will fear for their lives for applying.

Yes, the Mossad, the legendary Israeli spy agency, has redone its career site.

The spy agency also launched a YouTube channel.

The Jerusalem Post says the Mossad is looking for cybersecurity experts and other technologists, operations employees, and intelligence experts. The Prime Minister’s office told the Post that “The recruitment process to the organization is complex and unique, and due to the nature of things, we cannot provide details about it.”

Back to that warning I mentioned at the outset: Reuters says it is aimed at the informants throughout the Arab world who offer up information to Israel and could be in danger.

The English version includes an application that among other things, asks candidates to pick three qualities that describe themselves (see graphic below).
