Dear Barb:
Our biggest client has told us that they don’t want us to use job boards to find candidates. They have in-house recruiters that were hired to screen resumes sent to their website postings and job board ads. How do they expect us to find candidates if we don’t use job boards? We still find candidates that their inside team doesn’t.
Michelle D. Alpharetta, GADear Michelle:
Clients want us to provide them with access to candidates they can’t surface on their own. They want us to attract the passive candidate who is working, but will make a change for an opportunity which represents their next logical career move.
The best method to attract these candidates who are not in an active job search is by making daily recruiting presentations. Individuals who are working are also well networked and can lead you to other qualified candidates.

If you utilize job boards, obtain referrals from the candidates on the job boards who your clients will not have in their database.
