Four years after NASA attracted thousands of applicants for about 10 jobs, it’s recruiting for astronauts again, telling people in a video (below) that NASA is “on a journey to Mars.”
Astronauts will take off from Florida to missions on the International Space Station, on commercial spacecraft, on or NASA’s Orion.
Applications are accepted from December 14 to mid February, with selections announced midway through 2017.

NASA’s looking for people with at least a bachelor’s degree in engineering, biological sciences, physical science, or math. They should have “at least three years of related, progressively responsible professional experience, or at least 1,000 hours of pilot-in-command time in jet aircraft.”
