ERE Media has acquired Talent42, the first and only conference that brings together tech recruiters, engineers, and hiring managers.
Talent42 is a national event, held annually in Seattle. Launched by John Vlastelica, founder of Recruiting Toolbox, and Principal Consultant Carmen Hudson, it brings together technology companies as well as other companies hiring tech employees to improve the way they find, screen, assess, and hire tech talent. It’s part training, part conference, mixing workshops by recruiters with instruction by IT hiring managers.
“Carmen Hudson and I founded Talent42 with one mission — to help tech recruiters win in their jobs,” says Vlastelica. “Now, seven years later, Talent42 continues to attract amazing tech recruiters and sourcers, recruiting leaders, hiring managers, and speakers who are 100 percent focused on hiring the best tech talent on the planet. I’m thrilled that ERE will invest in building out the conference and reach even more recruiting teams, as it is the premier independent recruiting conference company, and shares our vision for ensuring Talent42 remains edgy, practical, and 100 percent tech focused.”
ERE Media currently operates three well-known brands: ERE (with a focus on recruiting, hiring, and recruiting leadership), SourceCon (about sourcing potential employees), and TLNT (targeting human resources and talent management). ERE Media’s websites publish timely, topical content each business day. The company also sponsors five annual conferences, hosts a webinar series, provides a job board for recruiters and HR professionals, and offers the Sourcecon Academy, a video training course.
Vlastelica will MC the upcoming Talent42 event in June, in Seattle. Angie Verros, founder of Vaia Talent, is already working on building the program. “I love that Talent42 brings together not only the true tech recruiters, but also hiring managers, in order to build a community together,” says Verros, a Chicago based talent acquisition professional.
