Hiring Formerly Incarcerated: Shelley Winner Continues the Fight

Shelley Winner pleaded for a job at a big technology company, despite having a criminal record that got her red-flagged.

It worked.

Since then, she has been telling other employers that there are a lot of others who’ve gotten out of prison and are ready to work. Plus, she has been saying to employers, the formerly incarcerated are even better employees than they would have been, in many cases, prior to their prison stints.
