Corporate Executive Board has joined forces with PayScale to offer the Seattle-based company’s compensation data as part of a new premium member service for mid-market HR organizations.

Corporate Executive Board will offer PayScale Professional, the Web-based compensation data solution, to HR Executive Forum members through its website.

Corporate Executive Board says integrating this real-time info gives its members access to a “comprehensive collection” of salary data to make better-informed decisions in order to win the war for talent.

PayScale‘s compensation data, known as PayScale Professional, is used at more than 3,500 organizations worldwide.

Corporate Executive Board counts 14,000 member executives at more than 3,700 large and middle-market companies worldwide, including over 80% of the Fortune 500. Its executive-level research includes information on corporate strategy, operations, and general management issues.

IT’s Big Bucks

According to a new Janco Associates survey, chief security officers are seeing the most significant increases in pay this year, though IT professionals in general are seeing raises over last year’s salaries.

The survey said that, on average, CSOs earned more than 8% over last year’s compensation figures (up from $141,154 to $152,563).

In addition, executive IT professionals in large enterprises earn $143,243 on average, compared to $127,439 on average for those in mid-sized companies.

According to the data, the positions in the highest demand include VP – Administration; VP – Information Services; VP – Security (CSO); Change Control Analyst; Computer Operations – Shift Manager; Data Center Facility Administrator; Data Entry Clerk; Data Entry Supervisor; LAN Applications Support Analyst; Object Visual Programmer; Production Control Specialist; Project Manager – Systems; Systems Programmer; and Voice/Wireless Communications Manager.

In addition, Janco says mid-sized enterprises are starting to open the hiring gates as backlogs build up and enterprises see continued growth.

Finally, Janco has tracked million-dollar chief information officers, noting Timothy Shack, at PNC Financial Services, was the highest-earning CIO. His $510,000 salary, however, was a mere drop in the bucket over his $5,942,093 total compensation. Coming in last on the list of highly paid CIOs, while certainly not a shabby figure, was Bobby Spaid. The Beckman Coulter CIO earned a $304,881 salary as part of a $1,100,079 total compensation.
