Report Says Apple Is Laying Off Recruiters

appleThere are reports circulating that Apple has laid off all its contract recruiters and has also cut some of its in-house recruiting team.

Venture Beat was the first to report the layoffs. According to the report yesterday by the Silicon Valley business news site, Apple supposedly has reduced its contract and full-time recruiting staff by about 100 workers.

Citing an unnamed source, Venture Beat said the company has also sharply reduced the bonuses it pays to recruiters.

Assuming the report is correct, the reason behind the layoffs is unclear, though the news site said its source claims overall hiring has slowed at Apple.
