That U.S. government proposal about disabilities hiring ERE was the first publication to unveil two years ago is now out in its final form.
The rule “introduces a hiring goal for federal contractors and subcontractors that 7 percent of each job group in their workforce be qualified individuals with disabilities.” It also “details specific actions contractors must take in the areas of recruitment, training, recordkeeping, and policy dissemination.”

This is all related to government subcontractors and contractors, not something that applies to every ma-and-pa small business. (There are two main FAQs from the government because the final rule actually involved amending requirements under two laws, the Vietnam Era Veterans’ Readjustment Assistance Act of 1974 and Section 503 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.)
