HiIf you missed previous announcements about ERE’s Talent Acquisition Benchmarking, you can read my original article here for what’s innovative about this approach or check out the free benchmarking solution on our website here. I have also included some screen shots below of version 2 of the solution that will be live early next year.
As of today, we have over 50 large, diverse companies like AT&T, PepsiCo, General Motors, Accenture, Southwest Airlines, Cablevision, and Scotiabank to name a few. Collectively, we have data and metrics on nearly 4 million global candidates and are on track to reach 6 million by the end of the year.
I am excited to announce a strategic partnership with CareerXroads that will continue to drive the importance of talent acquisition functions gaining performance insights through industry benchmarking.
This partnership is so exciting because I not only get to partner with two of the smartest people in our industry in the likes of Gerry Crispin and Chris Hoyt, but it also allows the collective partnership to provide even more valuable insights that could not be achieved with traditional survey-driven benchmarking approaches.
Comparing Yourself to a Best Practice Group
Since we use companies’ ATS data it gives us a lot of flexibility in how we want to provide talent acquisition functions’ insight to under and over performance. I also know that the foundation of CareerXroads and its 90+ Colloquium members is to share top practices as to what great recruiting looks like.
ERE Talent Acquisition Benchmarking allows members to compare themselves to their industry competitors to gain actionable insights if they are at a competitive advantage/disadvantage on 10 metrics that measure speed, quality, and productivity. This partnership will allow CXR members to dig into how their competitive practices impact performance metrics especially when comparing industry, size, level, and other relevant demographics.
But, even if you are not a ERE Benchmarking or CareerXroads customer, you will still be able to see what overall performance looks like for participating members of the Colloquium for these 10 performance metrics from the free version of the benchmarking tool on our website. Logically, you won’t specifically see your own performance in your own industry, major metro areas, job families, and the other 17 filters against each of the speed, quality, and productivity metrics unless you become a customer.

Version 2 of Talent Acquisition Benchmarking
For the last year, we have spent a lot of time gathering feedback from members of the Talent Acquisition Benchmarking solution which has resulted in some great feedback, which has led to some great enhancements:
- Visualization improvements
- Greater customization
- Faster actionable insights

I’m first and foremost a fan of good data. And next, I love it if the data is comparable. Finally, linking practices I can observe and measure to the data while teasing out insights that spark ideas for improvement … well, it doesn’t get better than that. Rob McIntosh and ERE are on a mission to build a solid foundation for TA metrics where data, analysis, and insight all have the best chance to emerge. — Gerry Crispin, CareerXroads
