Bob Marshall to Present at Fordyce Forum

We are pleased to have Bob Marshall join the ranks of the recruiters who will be presenting at the upcoming Fordyce Forum in Las Vegas, June 1-3. Bob is a legend in this business, having developed recruitment training that is still used today, nearly three decades later. In his own words, “The basics of our business never change.”

In his session, How to Teach a Recruiter to Bill $1,010,349.50 in One Year, Bob will walk you through the process of taking a ‘willing’ recruitment student to the million-dollar plateau. He will explain how to analyze potential recruitment talent, how to look for fixable behaviors, and how to diagnose recruiter problems and prescribe the right remedies.

Bob writes regularly for The Fordyce Letter and is a well-known trainer and consultant in the third-party recruiting industry. But he also still runs a full desk. Starting in search and recruiting in 1980 with the Management Recruiters franchise in Reno, Nevada, he participated in several superstar panels and was a Pacesetter in 1981, finishing #32 (out of approximately 1,500 Account Executives) in the nation and #6 in the Pacific region. Weathering the 1982 recession, he ended that year as the only recruiter in the office. During his tenure in Reno, he was named Account Executive of the Month sixteen times. In 1984, Bob became Management Recruiters, Sales Consultants & Compusearch Western’s Regional Manager training and directing their 60+ offices in the eleven western states. He was acknowledged as the top trainer in the MR network for the next two years.

In early 1986, Bob became manager of the MR office in Sausalito, California. During his second quarter, the office won Office of the Quarter (along with the highest PDA [per-desk-average] of production and the highest average number of placements). In 1986 he originated and produced the first Morning Meetings video training series for MR/SC/Compusearch/OM5.

In September 1986, Bob went into business for himself founding The Bob Marshall Group (based on The Marshall Plan). He has traveled extensively throughout the United States, the United Kingdom, Malta, and Cyprus training recruiters. In addition to his training regimen, many respected recruitment companies have retained Bob. Bob’s current list of copyrighted recruitment products and services include: Three coaching plans (‘Double Production-guaranteed’; 24/7; and Hourly);  “Your Desk As A Manufacturing Plant” Recruiter Training Manual; the ‘unplugged’ version of his acclaimed 2009 43-session Classic Teleconference Series; the modularized/multi-task Executive Edition Daily Planner; and the 100+ page Quick Resource Guide (QRG).
