This Is Not Like the Carnivals You Went to As a Kid

That’s because this carnival is a nerd carnival.

Virtual banker Q2 is putting on the nerd carnival when quite a few of this demographic will be in Austin for the South by Southwest event. Q2 executives will be at the carnival, along with company developers (a job the company is looking to hire more of, in addition to product managers and others).

There’ll be music, barbecue, beer, vodka, a surprise guest, Legos, artists, as well as some old, dated technology, and more.

Q2 is using the Twitter hashtag #nerdcarnival to promote the March 16 event. It looks like it has printed up some T-shirts too.

The carnival idea originated with Q2’s chief technology officer.
