  • Cornerstone OnDemand Adam Miller told Todd and a small group of others meeting last week that the company’s big area of opportunity is its recruiting product. The company begin in the learning field but moved into talent acquisition through its launch of a recruiting product and buy of Evolv. What adding recruiting to its arsenal did for Cornerstone, Miller says, is get it in the door to talks with companies (even if new talent-acquisition technology isn’t their top priority) that previously shut it out because of its lack of a talent-acquisition module.
  • On Wednesday, iCIMS released its Class of 2016 Report, to evaluate the professional aspirations and expectations of recent college graduates. iCIMS surveyed college seniors across the U.S. and compared their responses to what recruiting professionals had to say about hiring for entry-level roles. Of the most surprising insights, 44 percent of surveyed graduates would likely apply for a job if they noticed social media postings that demonstrate the company culture, like “pictures of staff activities.” That being said, 44 percent of surveyed graduates listed salary as most important in determining job satisfaction.
  • Launching soon, a fit-assessment/sourcing/screening site: Hooble.
  • UpScored, in New York and next Boston and San Francisco, is being used by a Fortune 100 healthcare company. According to TechCrunch: “more than 40 percent of candidates sent to employers via UpScored receive interview requests, and 87 percent of candidates like the jobs they see …”
