Street of Walls, a recruiting company for the financial field, is relaunching and changing its name.
Hedge funds, private-equity companies, and investors have been using Street of Walls, which says it has 200 clients. Goldman Sachs was among the first companies to test the platform.
Under its new name, Vettery, it sees itself as part technology company, part recruiting agency. “We have as many developers as we do recruiters” on staff, it boasts, noting also that its six+ full-time developers are in New York, not outsourced. It also has a little “made in NY” logo on its site.
Vettery is compiling a large database of financial candidates, and says it will use back-end technology to really tell who’s doing what; one candidate who says they are an “analyst,” for example, may be quite different than other with the same self-described title.
Vettery raised $1.2 million last year and says it can fund future growth with operating cash flow.
