In a new minute-and-a-half Microsoft video, girls are asked what they want to do to change the world, and then are delivered the bad news: “odds are, you won’t solve these problems.”
That’s because of the low number of females that stay in STEM jobs, something Microsoft talked about in a video last year which it said got more than 14 million views.
Microsoft’s also:
- Partnering with LinkedIn to launch a tool to show girls the kinds of STEM careers available.
- Holding in-store events and Facebook Live events, for girls to ask questions of scientists; National Geographic is partnering on this one.
- Using the tag MakeWhatsNext on Twitter.
