Screen Shot 2014-07-02 at 10.53.57 PMA very brief follow-up on Air New Zealand, which I’d said was “working on its mobile offerings.” (The company received the 2014 ERE Recruiting Excellence award in the “best corporate careers websites” category.)

Air New Zealand’s now live with the first iteration of its new mobile site.

Check it out on your smart phone at www.careers.airnz.co.nz; the design makes it clean and easy to navigate. You can learn about the company, and view/search for jobs — but not yet apply. The CAA requires a lot of applicants, which isn’t so easy on mobile phones, so for now, you have to complete the process on a desktop.

Air New Zealand used SnapHop to build the site, which is integrated into the system of an unrelated company with a similar name — SnapHire.

Talent Acquisition Strategy Manager Angela Farrelly says that about 30 percent of visits over the past year have been from mobile devices.
