ERE Network Policies & Rules

1. User Agreement

Your use of the ERE Network is governed by this User Agreement. ERE may refuse service without prior notice to any user for any or no reason.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and account, and are fully responsible for all activities that occur under your password or account with or without your knowledge. If you knowingly provide your login and password information to another person, your account privileges may be suspended temporarily or terminated. You agree to immediately notify ERE of any unauthorized use of your password or account or any other breach of security. ERE cannot and will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to comply with this section.

2. Rules of Conduct
  • The ERE Network is a professional networking community that should be used solely for networking purposes. Users should not send unsolicited or unauthorized advertising messages to other ERE Network members. (This includes job postings for staffing and HR positions — these messages should be posted on the ERE Job Board.)

  • Users are prohibited from "spamming" other members of the ERE Network. Spamming is defined as sending the same email message (or similar messages) to multiple ERE Network members.

  • Users are prohibited from collecting or storing personal data about other users, including but not limited to information about another user's work experience, skills, or number or identity of contacts in that user's personal network.

  • Users are prohibited from stalking or harassing other ERE Network members.

  • Users are prohibited from forging headers or otherwise manipulating identifiers in order to disguise the origin of any communication transmitted through the ERE Network.

  • Users cannot post content or initiate communications which are unlawful, libelous, abusive, obscene, discriminatory, or otherwise objectionable.

  • Users may not use the ERE Network for any illegal purpose, including but not limited to conspiring to violate laws.

  • Users are responsible for making sure all personal information volunteered — including but not limited to profile information, work experience, identity, and affiliations, past or present — is accurate.

  • Users are prohibited from using the ERE Network to upload, post, email, transmit or otherwise make available any material that contains software viruses or any other computer code, files, or programs designed to interrupt, destroy, or limit the functionality of any computer software or hardware or telecommunications equipment.

  • All groups are subject to approval from ERE, and for any or no reason can be deactivated.

  • All groups must have at least five (5) members after 30 days or they are subject to deactivation.

  • Cross posting to group discussions (i.e. duplicate posts of the same message to multiple discussions) are not allowed. Users should select one and only one appropriate group to post discussion messages.

  • ERE reserves the right to amend these rules at any time.
3. Termination

You agree that ERE may, with or without cause, immediately terminate your ERE Network account and access to the ERE Network without prior notice. Without limiting the foregoing, the following will lead to a termination by ERE of a user's use of the ERE Network (a) breaches or violations of this User Agreement or other incorporated agreements or guidelines, (b) requests by law enforcement or other government agencies, (c) a request by you (self-initiated account deletions), (d) unexpected technical issues or problems, and (e) extended periods of inactivity. Termination of your ERE Network account includes (a) removal of access to all offerings within the ERE Network, (b) deletion of your password and all related information, files and content associated with or inside your account (or any part thereof), and (c) barring further use of the ERE Network. Further, you agree that all terminations shall be made in ERE's sole discretion and that ERE shall not be liable to you or any third-party for any termination of your account or access to the ERE Network.

4. Information Provided on this Website

For information about how the information you provide can be used, please refer to the ERE Privacy Policy - http://www.ere.net/about/privacy.asp.

5. Access to Service

Use of software, devices, or other manual or automated processes to spider or crawl any web pages on ERE's website is strictly prohibited. You agree not to copy or monitor, or allow others to copy or monitor, ERE's web pages or the content included therein. You also agree not to simulate the appearance or function of this website. Furthermore, you agree not to take any action that interferes with the proper working of our infrastructure or places an unreasonable load on our systems, including but not limited to unsolicited communications, attempts to gain unauthorized access, transmission or activation of computer viruses, or manipulation of our database.

6. ERE Communications

In the course of providing you services, ERE may need to communicate with you via email. You agree to receive emails which are specific to your account and necessary for the normal functioning of the ERE Network, including a welcome email which help inform new users about various features of the ERE Network. You also agree that ERE can email you with information about system updates and other features we feel would benefit your use of the ERE Network.

7. Monitoring and Enforcement

While we have the right to monitor activity and content associated with the ERE Network, we are not obligated to do so. And since we do not, and may not have the ability to, control or actively monitor content we don't guarantee its accuracy, integrity or quality. Because community standards vary and individuals sometimes choose not to comply with our policies and practices, in the process of using our website, you may be exposed to content that you find offensive or objectionable. You can email feedback@ere.net to let us know of content that you find objectionable. We may investigate the complaints and violations of our policies that come to our attention and may take any action that we believe is appropriate, including, but not limited to issuing warnings, removing the content or terminating accounts and/or subscriptions. However, because situations and interpretations vary, we also reserve the right not to take any action. Please remember that you can always choose to refrain from using any part of the ERE Network that may expose you to something that you are uncomfortable with. Under no circumstances will we be liable in any way for any content, including, but not limited to, any errors or omissions in any content, or any loss or damage of any kind incurred as a result of the use of, access to, or denial of access to any content on the website.

8. Fees

Signing up for an ERE Network account is free. ERE reserves the right to charge for the ERE Network or any portion thereof, modify the pricing of, add to, or discontinue the ERE Network or any portion thereof without prior notice and at any time.

If you have any questions about these policies or the ERE network in general, please send an email to help@ere.net.
