Steve Pogorzelski leaving Monster

posted by
David Manaster (211)

Steve PogorzelskiIt looks like Steve Pogorzelski --or "Pog", as he was known at Monster --is out as the head of Global Sales at that company.

I am not 100% sure about this, but I think that Steve was the last of Monster's management team to survive from the bubble days of the late 90s, when I used to work there. I do know that he was widely respected within the organization as a hard-charging sales manager.

In recent years, Steve was the President of the International division of Monster, where he ran the company's main engine for growth - in the third quarter, international grew 57% vs. only 5% in North America - so I'm sure that his loss will be felt acutely.

In recent months, Steve's title on the Monster Worldwide Investor Relations site changed to Executive Vice President, Global Sales and Customer Development, which probably has something to do with his departure.
