What LinkedIn doesn’t want recruiters to know!

posted by
Shally Steckerl (1968)

I don’t think I can explain why, but for some reason I’ve been labeled as some kind of "expert" on LinkedIn if there is such a thing. The truth is I’m just a curious guy with an insatiable appetite... for things that make my job easier.

Yeah, that makes me lazy. There, I said it :)

Since I first started doing the LinkedIn webinars several months ago I’ve been flooded with questions on how I:

  1. Built my network so quickly without diluting my value
  2. Kept my network growing strong while developing trust
  3. Kept from becoming overwhelmed by requests
  4. Used it to help promote my personal brand
  5. Used it to find “deep” leads and “hidden talent
  6. Contact LinkedIn leads “outside” of the system

So many questions, in fact, that I think it’s time I put as many as I can to rest in one fell swoop. So, I present to you, the first ever webinar on “What LinkedIn doesn’t want recruiters to know!” OK not really what they don’t want you to know, but maybe it’s the “Best kept secrets used by top recruiters?” Except, well, they aren’t really kept secret intentionally, they are just not talked about. Oh yeah, and I’m leaving plenty of time for a no-holds-barred open forum Q&A. Check it out.

Shally,

The link above that reads "Check it out" has an extra dot at the end of the address that send you to a "page cannot be found" screen.

Until its fixed, everyone should click on the link:
http://www.jobmachine.net/jobmachine/LinkedInJune2006.htm.

and then delete the last dot so you end up going to:
http://www.jobmachine.net/jobmachine/LinkedInJune2006.htm

Cheers,

Scott

Hey Michael,

What exactly is wrong with the trackbacks?

I just checked out your blog and didn't see any links back to this post.

If I missed it, please show me, and I will have our tech team check it out.
