Zalp, Referagig, Jobhuk … that’s just the beginning of a very long list of recent employee-referral-related launches, including a few that if I gave you links to their home pages you’d get an error, for they have come and gone.
Today brings us ReferStar, out of Ireland and with a sales office in Liverpool. It helps you automate the referral process through the use of LinkedIn, Twitter, and Facebook to find out who your employees, alumni, customers, and suppliers know. As you see, those doing the referring can earn money.
A couple of other newer companies you may not know of:
- The British startup Rezoomo doesn’t promise to wipe out resumes; instead, it lets people create them online, with links — online resumes like this. A video-interviewing feature is coming soon.
- From London comes Hire My Friend, also written up here. It’s for people who are “considering a new job but don’t want their boss to find out.”
