A new contest for the best recruitment advertising in 2013 comes with a twist: the ad being submitted has to focus on hiring women.
Women in Trucking and Arrow Truck Sales are running the contest, telling people that most recruiting ads assume the driver will be a man. But the Women in Trucking Association says women have different concerns about a job; for example, they may want to be sure they can bring a dog on the road for safety.
Ad agencies or their clients (like a transportation company) can submit ads printed in 2013 to email@example.com. A committee of the association and Arrow will select finalists, with association members voting on a winner, to be announced at the Mid-America Trucking Show in March.
