Screen Shot 2013-05-29 at 3.37.41 PMAdd Portland, Oregon, to the list of cities, territories, and nations making special efforts to bring talent — particularly tech talent — to town.

For those keeping score at home, I’m talking about places like Nashville, Austin, Detroit, Yukon, and even Ireland.

A group called TechTown Portland is showing a video this evening highlighting some of the firms in town like Jive. The group says:

…We know Portland is a great place to live, but it has become a Mecca for Tech and we think others outside Portland should know too. Our firms are growing with the best and brightest in Portland and they are doing quite well. But more talent is needed to support our companies that have developed technologies used the world over. Our artisanal culture extends from arts & crafts, breweries & food to creating what’s next in tech. This video came together because the video sponsors understand a collective effort to attract more talent to the region benefits everyone.

TechTown Portland also has a group on LinkedIn.
