What a unique spin on recruiting, Erin! Hollywood definitely has it right when they look beyond the big name. Recruiters have to do the same in regards to looking at a variety of job leads and avenues to those leads. And you’re right too, eliciting a positive response is essential, even in garnering job leads from your businesses networks.

Hmmm. Considering what's on Network TV,(with a very few exceptions), perhaps we should use the TV industry as an example of what NOT to do.

Great take on the recruitment process! Recruiting the right candidate is quite a production. But I’d argue that being bold in attracting candidates, as well as revising the job description should be done regardless of the size of your candidate pool or business. If you didn’t already update your job description, then you’re one step behind! Better job descriptions are going to get you better candidates. Making your description visual and keeping candidates informed is the best way to make the most of the “production”!

Might be fun to match up the name of a company (and Talent Acquisition Dept) with a TV show that describes them.
