One of the WORST recruiting experiences I've ever gone through was with Amazon. They did not care one bit about recruiters as relationship builders with strong networks. It was a four hour interview in a small room with no windows & a ping pong table, asking me about Boolean searches, and not the slightest offer (after driving 3 1/2 hours to get there) to show me around the office. If I was in mid-sentence and time was up, I was literally cut off. I checked in at the front desk and was escorted to the elevator after. And while they expect you to use your cell phone to make your calls to candidates, they offer no cell phone reimbursement. If that's how they treat their recruiting candidates, there was no way I could continue on in the process - I am *not* a robot. Keep it classy, Amazon.
