According to comScore, 181 million Americans watched more than 40 billion videos in the past month. A more interesting stat would be, what percentage of companies are ignoring this huge pool of passive candidates by not implementing a video recruitment strategy? May I ask, what are you doing now to capture the mindset of the passive candidates who are quietly waiting for the market to turn in their favor? Are you using YouTube and sites like it to maintain your edge? If not, this webinar is an event you can not miss.

Give That Video Campaign a Second Thought | YKRecruiting Jul 9, 2012 at 12:12 am
[...] Brendan Shields writes that Americans watched 40 billion videos in the last month, and we’re talking about a generation brought up on the internet, increasingly comfortable consuming hour upon hour of (sometimes verifiably useless) video. Why not utilize that as a recruiting tool? Universities have caught on; in 2011 47% of schools using social media to reach out to potential students were using video blogging. Administrators preferred Youtube and videoblogging (92% and 88%), and it follows that this could be a great recruitment tool for employers as well.
