In India when a cop stops you for checking your licence , he is doing this just for one reason , get a 20 bucks off the poor motorist for letting him go.
Recruitment as a profession is filed with people who have indulged in unethical practices. Be it the candidate or the Recruiter or the Hiring Manager , all are party. With a premium on talent , its war out there (and all's fair in love and war - the Bard said it - despite the Geneva convention !)
I guess , being ethical in this scenario is a wonderful differentiator. To showcase ethics would be the best marketing tool a recruitment professional can have to attract better candidates and get clients to respect you.

"Managers must have a better understanding of these issues and you as a recruiter need to have a sterling reputation for honestly, transparency, and ethical practices. Those qualities will get you far more candidates than deceit and other unethical practices."

Kevin- This is the most profound statement I have EVER heard/read on ERE and 100% TRUE!.... THANK YOU!!!

We have a "culture" problem, not a "recruiter problem"...

We also have to realize without "Sharks" in the ocean, the food chain does not exist...

Best,
Brian
