While the study of color its relationships have merit, it is much more complex than having a certain type of voice translates to a color and that the "gatekeeper" will be accommodating. I would not agree that just having a nice voice is going pave the way through a gatekeeper. I have worked both sides of the fence having worked in recruitment and HR. One of the things that is missing in this theory is to factor in how many calls a day the "gatekeeper" is receiving--that is going to override any pleasant manner.

Courtesy and respect will produce better result than the nicest voice--especially if that voice is rude.

How true your article is! My 11 years as an executive recruiter have capped careers as a newspaper publisher, owner of an educational training company, being an SEC RIA and political campagn manager. What you have said holds true for each of those "lives". I have always enjoyed meeting new people, learning about them, what they want, what makes them tick, how I can help them. Therefore, I am prepared to like them and they reciprocate. One should adopt the attitude - and thus manner - that, of course, people will help you. And they usually do.
Is that a combo of blue and green?
