I am just shocked, absolutely SHOCKED, that relationship management (Candidate or Talent CRM/TRM)are not more important to companies seeking an Animal Tracking System..err...Applicant Tracking System.

The lack of awareness that transactional recruiting is NOT what candidates want is stunning and more evidence that companies all over the place are clueless about what it means to connect, engage, relate and recruit talent.

easy as 1,2,3

1.) hire full-time proactive hunters/gatherers into your TA Org. at your Corporations. (aka sourcers)

2.) have them do their thing on the web, via the phone, and in-person. (aka headhunt & build-cultivate pools)

3.) make sure you equip them w/ a legit & robust CRM to keep it all running smoothly. (salesforce.com used to be it, but folks are using AIRS these days)

FYI: Only a "real" CRM can produce the analytic info, reporting, and passive prospect data that you need pre-ATS.

Cheers,
Jer

"One thing is certain: the talent acquisition system market is one of dramatic change and innovation." I couldn't agree more. This article is very insightful and my company is definitely paying attention to what organizations are looking for. It seems that ease of use and configurability are most important.

Madeline, I would really appreciate it if you checked out what we are doing at GrouperEye (http://groupereye.com/launchprogram/). I believe we have created what will be the next recruiting platform.
