A good article, however I am more concerned about being taxed to death and getting killed by the wackos on the California roads coming to work then I am about the swine flu. Government and media hype and stupid statements by those in charge have made me more sick then anything else. Considering all the pork coming out of DC it's no wonder that swine flu is speading! However I will do my best to slow the spread and pork out this evening!

I have found a product call Q Shield that seems to offer brilliant protection against all Type A and Type B Influenza (swine flu is Type A), MRSA, C. Difficile and a host of other bacterias.
The Q Shield is a hand sanitiser and one application kills viruses for 24 hours. It won't wash off and is non toxic and low alcohol. 90% of viruses are spread from human to human by contact and not breathing it in, from keyboards, mice, door handles etc.
Have a look at www.i4chygiene.co.uk for more info or email me.

The timeliness of this post cannot be overstated. This is an excellent sound approach to a methodical plan of action for current and future health concerns that may affect business and community. I suggest that HR professionals reach out to local government, health care systems and Chambers of Commerce to monitor situations of this nature and participate in community forums.

Coincidentally, next week the HR Task Force I oversee as Director of Workforce Development will hold its Annual HR Seminar. I contacted the Director Disaster Preparedness at a local hospital who offered to come to the seminar along with the Director of Infection Control to provide up-to-date information on the impending Swine Flu pandemic and do a Q&A session with the HR leaders of our community.

It was not difficult to adjust the agenda to accommodate this. I emailed the Chamber membership with the update and saw an increase in registrations as a result.

John, thank you for providing the ERE community with a practical model for an action plan to address potential threat to business and associate wellness.
