<description>Thanks to ERE and John for picking up coverage on Newton.
I wanted to address a couple of questions raised in the post.

1.Inbound resumes are handled in a variety of ways.
•We accept all versions of Microsoft Word (including DOCX), PDF, RTF, TXT and HTML. This is one of our best time saving features. Our system converts the document, saves the plain text, and also saves the attachment with the candidate’s record. When a recruiter or Hiring Manager lands on a candidate page, the plain text version is immediately viewable without additional download (it can also be edited right on the screen, without affecting the attachment).
•In a few months we are also going to enable “drag and drop” right from the desktop. This means that you could have a resume on your desktop and with 0 clicks drop it into Newton (without even needing to login). Since we use an advanced architecture (Flex-based), only our product will be able to do this.
•We also have integrated a &quot;mass import&quot; tool so Newton can import large quantities of resumes quickly from any source including email folders.

2.Posting jobs
•Posting jobs to SimplyHired, Indeed.com, Facebook, Twitter, Hotjobs, etc. is in beta right now, and will be released in a few weeks. In general, adding sites to post to is pretty easy for any ATS vendor, and shouldn’t be a knockout feature for any of them. We are building a marketplace that will incorporate this feature and much more.

3.Careers Page
•Newton hosts careers pages that displays customer’s jobs (clients can choose to list the jobs, group them by department, list them with a search box, or just show a search box), the job description, and the “apply to” page. In technical terms, we “inherit” the look and feel of the existing site (bullets, text, style, etc), so that it looks almost identical, if not exactly, like every other page on a customer’s website. We also deliver this without a pop up window.
•We set this up free of charge in less than 24hrs (we’ve spent a lot of time developing the technology behind this, so it’s super easy). Customers are certainly allowed to edit this as much and as often as they want from a simple Admin area.
•Also, we have a cool security feature here. If you want to allow a Webmaster to enter Newton and edit your site you can do this without granting them Admin access to any other area. A lot of systems only allow Admin users to edit careers sites (which means your webmaster will be able to see salary information, all jobs, comments, edit users, etc.)—not Newton.
•We are working on some cool &quot;stuff&quot; in this area including adding chat, videos and more.
