In your article you commented on freeze fanatics at an attempt to prove the adaptability of the people that rear the economy--I would just like to take it back to the rudimentary and define freeze--it reminds me a little of a game of tag. Freezing means motion has stopped. Just as we are running around and someone yells 'freeze' it gives us (the hiring squad) time enough to rest and reassemble with all the fear and anxiety that we will get caught. Take for instance energy and the economy-- Catching up to say China or India we may be expelling puffs of smoke as our last resort. We don't want to pollute the airways but stopping cold turkey is something my pastor deems appropriate in order to correct thinking. "You must pray on those immoral thoughts." Freezing is the height of purifying our resources, but we don't have to settle ourselves. In the appropriate mindframe we are asked as Americans to overhaul and transcend the unnatural or immoral. I want to ask--Was it, Is it more natural to move than to sit still? Or are we pushing it.....
