What if the sand was edible? It could be flavored fruit punch. We could throw a party and dive for candy coated jellyfish. Not a bad idea. Anyone up to some nosediving? They did it in World War II. They did it today. They will continue doing it. What's more,my candied apple has a bad spot. Now, how appealing is that? Make yourself known.

Karin,

The McKinsey article may very well be the most comprehensive survey ever conducted of business leader perception of HR. It's pretty much a must read for any HR professional who wants to shed the administrative, cost-center image and become strategic. Per you request, here's the URL: http://www.mckinseyquarterly.com/Organization/Talent/Making_talent_a_strategic_priority_2092_abstract?gp=1.

I appreciated the use of humor in your article as well as the prescriptive solutions. I would appreciate it if you could provide the name of the McKinsely article you referred to in your statement, "According to recent studies conducted by the McKinsey Group, it is easy to extrapolate that both IBS and RDS are caused by business leaders lack of confidence in HR’s ability to understand the needs and requirements of the business."
