We selected an outside vendor because to get it right, its not merely about the video, its about the platform and features. The company that we selected was Realview TV (http://www.realviewtv.com - streaming video, the delivery mechanism provides custom branding, is search/seo friendly, has interactive functionality like dynamic text and forms for call to action features like submitting a resume. We are paying for results and a video with an easy way to generate a lead is the key.

I read a lot about company branding videos to attract candidates to a company, however, not many people are talking about candiate videos. We have implemented a video service from www.vipepower.com for our candidates to answer a 30 second question or tell a little about their experience. When a candidate agrees to do it, we have found that it shortens the interview cycle often having the hiring managers go directly to an in person interview and skipping the phone screen option. The Vipe service also allows us to have company videos which we have had a lot of fun with too!

How could the author of this article forget CareerTours? CareerTours has been around for over 2 years and has over 2,700 company videos which makes Careerbuilder, Monster and Jobing video sections seem small. Every job has a video. It's free to post, too.
