Here's the promo code/email I received. We love it at KPD!

If you buy a 60 day job posting between now and September 30th, you can receive $100 off each job posting and PAID sponsorship of your posting on Indeed.com, one of the fastest growing job aggregator sites on the Internet.

To take advantage of this offer, go to http://www.jobalarm.com/ and input 'Time2fill' into the promo code box when buying a posting.

John - I recently hired a WEB DESIGNER specializing with PHP, Cascading Sheets (CSS) and dynamic sql database design (for our www.searchwizardry.com recruiting training tools) ...
The entire SEARCH was handled using SMS (text messaging) on a cell phone as follows:
1. I sent message to college intern asking for above (php/secure server/shopping cart knowledgeable web designer)
2. I asked this individual (who is a star athlete, and very outgoing/sociable with lots of friends) to forward the message to anyone she knew
3. She forwarded the message to about 12 teachers/professors/coaches and recent graduates
4. One recent grad (now working one year) was employed by a newspaper company in Pennsylvannia managing their web presence.
5. We spoke - I hired him. He's been working for us for one year. Never met the guy !!! **BEST WEB DESIGNER I've EVER WORKED WITH !!!!

Great article. You make a good point about sports and entertainment recruiting using smart phones. Not so much because it was hip but they are highly competitive industries that can bank on fast turn-around times. We are all now in highly competitive industries.

Great article. I am a big fan and user of mobile technology. I currently carry the new Samsung Instinct on my hip and never go anywhere without it. The best part is that it is my all-around machine. Sure, it is handy for recruiting purposes, but also being able to kick back after a hard day of recruiting by having access to a large collection of MP3 and live streaming TV! When feasible, I think every recruiter should have a smartphone.
