		<description>I agree completely, that when an organization decides to outsource to vendors, for whatever reason, there is a need to manage those partners and treat them as if they are an extension of your business, versus a “servant” as J.P. puts it. Many times, outsourcing can be a huge asset to a company, particular when handing off tasks that require some amount of skill and specialized training that would significantly add to your employees’ job descriptions.

With any vendor relationship, even when tedious “busy work” is outsourced, it’s a good idea to assign an internal person to manage the relationship to be sure goals are being met.

In any economy, doing things in house aren’t always the least costly alternative either.</description>
