Great reminder on the simple things in networking.  And, please, when I say simple, I do not mean this in any derogatory way.  It&#039;s the foundation of networking, asking for your next referral.  And so many people forget so often to do it.  When you don&#039;t get what you want, get the next best thing.

As my friends in Sales say, &quot;No&quot; is the second best answer.  At least you know where you stand and that your best move is to chart a new course.  Asking for that referral is the first step toward finding that next hire.
