I wholeheartedly agree with every point you make in this article.   The art of recruiting is more one on one as you demonstrated in your ability to turn the conversation with the CEO to get to your intended result.  The process and working with hiring managers as a group is definitely a science.  One definition of science is &#039;systematically acquired knowledge that is verifiable.&#039;  We validate our process by following methods that produce results that can be duplicated each time we use them.  We move the hiring decision from a subjective and intuitive grouping of guesses to a measurable objective process that can be verified.  By following this consistently, the organization will deal with less turnover, have higher productivity and will be more competitive.
