This article is the real deal. Finding the game changer is easy; all roads point to their direction. What we do to encourage success and how we make an experience distinctive and memorable - this is the litmus test. Further down in reasoning though is how much of this is a business issue versus a recruiting issue. I can architect every moment that comes together to a face to face meeting; what I can't change is what actually is said in the meeting or how the interviewers views recruiting. The goal has to be selling the value(dollars to the top line) of Game Changers - as in, 'if you lose them, your competitor beats you by X% Market Share'. How do I sell the hard people - the Hiring Managers - versus the recruiters. We all get it. The million dollar question is finding one Game Changer internally who wants to hang out with more Game Changers from the outside. This is not easy to do.

John,

Thankfully, there is The Nationwide Tour.

You make an excellent point regarding their mentors/influencers. Tiger didn't sign with Nike until his dad approved. The $100m didn't hurt either.

Me, I enjoy being John Daly :>)
