It would be interesting to know the ratio of inside to outside hires and the basis comparision of industry and business cycle. 

The finding that CEO&#039;s are now cut when performance is down does not surprise- in the age of business media and celeb CEO&#039;s, being top dog is no longer a quiet occupation.</description>
