Taleo said Wednesday it will acquire all of JobFlash’s intellectual property, technology, and customers in a $3 million cash transaction.

Taleo said it will immediately offer the JobFlash solution for sale, a service that enables employers to interact with job seekers by providing multilingual telephone interactive voice response and interview scheduling.

Taleo said it will retain the majority of JobFlash’s sales, services, and development personnel.

JobFlash’s voice response will be used in both Taleo Enterprise Edition, for larger companies, and Taleo Business Edition, for small and medium business, primarily for hourly recruiting.

Company officials say this new product will benefit applicants with limited Web access, as well as businesses that find Internet hiring impractical, including hourly industries such as restaurants, casinos, retail stores, and hospitality.

“Customers needing a high-volume hiring solution for opening new locations can use the interview scheduling capabilities to streamline mass hiring with custom prescreening, automated interview scheduling, and compliance reporting,” said Brad Benson, Taleo’s executive vice president, products and technology.

Fremont, California-based JobFlash has more than 60 customers, including Whole Foods, Ramada Hotel and Casino, and Securitas.
