The Emirates Nationals Development Programme and real-estate developer Dubai Properties have formed a partnership to provide career opportunities and develop a pool of real-estate professionals in the United Arab Emirates by 2007.

Dubai Properties will conduct two specific programs for nationals seeking employment within the real-estate industry:

  • Al Tatweer. This six-month HR development program offers job opportunities for those with a high-school or technical-training background.
  • Al Etqan. This one-year intensive training regime is for college graduates.

“The real estate sector is a relatively new career option for several nationals, so we have taken additional steps to formally introduce them to the variety of career opportunities available,” ENDP Director Azzah Al-Sharhan told AME Info, a Middle East business resource.

For example, ENDP and Dubai Properties held a recruitment day, which marked the “beginning of a significant partnership” that allowed jobseekers in the UAE a chance to interview with executives for positions in the company.

The objective of the ENDP, involved in a number of projects with private sector industries including banking, hospitality, and trade, is to integrate young UAE nationals into the private workforce. More than 1,200 UAE nationals have joined the private sector through ENDP in the past six months alone.
