I would be very interested in hearing about what your perspective is on Recruitment Video's and how these may add benefit to an employment website. We are considering posting our client's employment video's on http://www.jobs.co.za providing exposure for our clients and aiding in attracting the right cultural fit for their company. Any experience on whether promoting recruitment video's on Job boards would be most welcome.

Dear John;

I checked out GK's website and I agree that you did a good job of it! I have one question for you - how did you select the employees to do the testimonials?

Does anyone else have any comments regarding the use of testimonials?

We are currently revamping our website and would like to do something similar.

Best regards,
Michelle

You can read the original article here

Post your own Article Review
http://www.erexchange.com/p/g.asp?d=M&cid={1F961D82-E653-4787-83D7-7AD929904F2F}
Dave,

I think that this is an excellent article that the industry should pay very close attention to. The Web user is becoming a much more savvy individual and the Internet gives us all access to so much more information that it can be overwhelming. So most of what 'works' on the Web has to do with focusing quickly on creating convenience, respect and relevance in the relationship that your Web site offers to your target audience.

The sites we like best on the Internet, whether for shopping, news, laughs or career information are designed with us as users in mind, organized in ways that make sense to us, and completely respectful of the fact that we are completely in control of how much of our attention they can have.

Nowhere is this kind of respect more valued than in Human Resources departments, whose work has a tremendous impact on the personality, and the success, of the companies they represent. The Employment Web site is often a candidate's first insight into this culture and needs to answer questions like:

- Will I make any friends at this company?
- If I'm going to invest my time and knowledge into this company, will they respect it and help me grow?
- How are they going to feel about my commitment to my family?

These and many other individual and emotional concerns are often missed in the 'search our jobs and apply immediately' approach taken by most Web sites and I agree with you that the ones highlithed in this article are taking steps in the right direction. I'm sure that their Web traffic and other aspects of their recruitment strategy (amount of money spent on advertising, percentage of recruiters time spent sourcing vs recruiting, percentage of unqualified resumes submitted) is positively affected.

Keep up the good work!

Dave-
I would encourage you to take a look at G&K Services' new career site. We are quite proud of the work we recently completed with NAS Recruitment Communications to create it. I would appreciate your feedback on it.

Take a look at Evanston Northwestern Healthcare's website at www.enh.org/careers

It is a great example of what a careers website in Healthcare should look like.

You can read the original article here

Post your own Article Review
http://www.erexchange.com/p/g.asp?d=M&cid={1F5DBA84-BC0F-48B3-8E2A-7435A446AF1F}
The World's Very Best Employment Websites:
I would strongly recommend every one to visit the career section of IDX Systems Corporation
http://www.idx.com. This site provides the usual job description and presents with great clarity the minimum job requirements expected of applicants via a very easy-to-use questionnaire. From the applicant's perspective, this approach is very valuable. Each applicant is provided with a customized, rich user experience that is applicant-friendly, accepts any resume format and takes less than three minutes to apply.
