		<description>Well said Randy. You can't get a quality hire without quality candidates. Also a large volume of unqualified mixed with the qualified candidates will frustrate any manager and increase the likelihood of finding the stars among the trash.

As a resource for talent, I'd also like to add that companies need to calibrate the quality of outside vendors not just by the number and quality of hires but also by the quality of candidates presented.  Sometimes the evaluation of resources focuses too much on what we get and not enough on what we could have gotten.  

Continuing with your sports analogy, if a team is presented with two possible quarterbacks to hire but only hires one, shouldn't that company measure it's success (or that of the referring agent) by both candidates.
